Computing Curriculum

Our Computing curriculum provides our children with the opportunity to use a wide range of technology! It offers opportunities to explore technology and see how it is used in the world, all whilst promoting their understanding of keeping safe online.

We follow the Teach Computing Scheme (created by The National Centre for Computing Excellence). In Key Stage 1, the children are taught the basics of computer functioning from learning how to open a program to how to save a file. They also are granted practical, hands-on experiences through use of technology such as Bee Bots or applications like Scratch Jnr.

In Key Stage 2, the children continue developing their understanding of programming by creating their own projects. They also explore coding through technology such as Micro:bits.
